About the job

We are looking for you who want to help start up a new group home together with a new team. With us, you will have a varied and meaningful job where you help create security, participation, and a good everyday life for our users.

Our work is based on the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and is built on respect for self-determination, participation, and every person's right to live their life based on their conditions.

With us, you will meet people with different needs and conditions, where autism and ADHD often occur together with intellectual disability.

Working hours: Day, evening, weekend, sleeping on-call duty.

Job responsibilities

The job responsibilities include, among other things:

• providing support and care based on the user's individual needs and wishes
• creating structure, security, and participation in everyday life
• social documentation and work with implementation plans
• contact with relatives and other professionals
• working together with colleagues to create conditions for a secure and meaningful everyday life

You will become part of a team where you work together with colleagues and other professional roles such as support pedagogues, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and unit managers.

Within LSS 1, there are three group homes, and the work may involve joint planning between the operations.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are sensitive, responsible, and have a good approach to people. You enjoy collaborating, contributing to a positive work environment, and meeting people with respect and engagement.

You have education in Care and Nursing or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent, with interest and experience of disability.

You also need to:

• have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• have basic digital competence

We would appreciate if you have experience of clarifying pedagogy, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), low-affective approach, and reflective working methods. You should have good physical fitness, be flexible, and solution-focused.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Merits

• Experience and knowledge within autism and other neuropsychiatric diagnoses
• Category B driver's license for a car with manual transmission.

Other

In our operations, everyone who is to be employed to work within the disability area must, according to law (2010:479), present an extract from the criminal record register to the hiring manager. The form to be used can be downloaded from the Police website (https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/barn-med-funktionsnedsattning/blanketter---barn-med-funktionsnedsattning/). It usually takes between 1-2 weeks to receive it by mail, and it must be shown before employment with the hiring manager.

You will work scheduled hours such as day, evening, weekend, and sleeping on-call duty.

Your employment will be within the Sector Social Welfare, Lidköping Municipality, which means that you may work at several units in the operations.

Permanent position 100% with the possibility of part-time.

Selection takes place continuously during the application period.

Start date as agreed.

Criminal Record Extract

Before an offer of employment is made, you as a candidate are obliged to present an extract from the criminal record register for work in any of the following areas; school or preschool, work with children in other operations than school and childcare, work with children according to LSS, work at or in connection with HVB homes (residential care for children and young people), work with the elderly or persons with disabilities. You order the extract via the Police website. The extract must be presented before employment can begin.
