About the job

Are you the one who makes it possible for people to continue living at home? To create good conditions for work and strengthen the working environment, we are now expanding our teams. We are therefore looking for more assistant nurses (undersköterska) for the home care services within the City of Gothenburg. At the moment, we have a need for staff in the Home Care Bergum/Gunnilse and Home Care Night Askim/Frölunda/Högsbo units.

For Home Care Bergum/Gunnilse, we are looking for staff for day/evening shifts. The unit is based at premises on Angereds Torg 5.

For Home Care Night Askim/Frölunda/Högsbo, we are looking for night staff. Here, we always work in pairs to support each other in our work. The unit is based at premises on Lilla Kapplandsgatan 22 and works on a schedule with working hours from 21:00 to 07:00.

Working in home care means that you support and help the care recipient in their own home based on approved services. You travel to the individual's home by car. Your work includes practical help with personal hygiene and care, support during meals, activities, laundry, cleaning, and more. You also perform health and medical care tasks after instruction and delegation from licensed personnel. All documentation is done digitally.

Work in elderly care gives you the opportunity to contribute to joy of life and well-being. The goal is for care recipients to have meaningful days, where you provide good nursing and social care. You will have the opportunity to develop in your professional role while making a difference for those we serve. Our operations run every day, which means working hours are day, evening, and weekend, or alternatively night and weekend.

As an assistant nurse in home care, you will have a varied job where you contribute to a dignified and meaningful life.

About you

Qualifications

  • We are looking for you who are trained as an assistant nurse and can show the National Board of Health and Welfare's certificate for the protected professional title, or alternatively prove that you were employed as an assistant nurse when the new rules were introduced.
  • Category B driver's license and driving experience

Merits

  • Experience from previous work in home care

You enjoy both collaborating with others and working independently, and you have good communication skills. You are computer literate for documentation in IT systems and have good Swedish language skills in both speech and writing to communicate effectively with others.

You take your tasks seriously, are keen on finishing what you start, and ensure that the work is done correctly. You are friendly and helpful to other people even in stressful situations. You think of those we serve and their best interests.

You can quickly adapt your working methods and you see opportunities instead of obstacles. Since work in home care can change when unexpected events occur, you adapt your communication to the recipient and the situation. You convey information and ideas clearly and ensure that your message gets across.
