Teacher for Lower Secondary (Years 1–3) – International English School in Kista

International English School (IES) in Kista is a dynamic and growing F-9 school with an international atmosphere. We are a bilingual school following the Swedish curriculum. We are now looking for an engaged and certified teacher for the lower secondary level who is passionate about laying the foundation for students' learning journeys.

This is a permanent position starting in August 2026 (initially with a six-month probationary period).

Your Main Responsibilities

As a teacher in years 1–3 at IES Kista, you have a particularly important role: contributing to our focus on language development and the national reading, writing, and mathematics guarantee. We place great emphasis on the Swedish language as the foundation for all learning.

• Plan and deliver teaching with high engagement and a clear focus on basic skills in Swedish and mathematics.
• Create a safe and stimulating learning environment where study discipline is a given.
• Monitor and document students' development.
• Collaborate with colleagues, student health services, and guardians to support the student's entire school journey.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Are a certified teacher with eligibility for years 1–3 in all subjects.
• Have a strong focus on early reading and writing acquisition as well as basic mathematics.
• Value the Swedish language and see its central role in our bilingual school.
• Are a team player who thrives in collegial learning and international cooperation.
• Are well-versed in Lgr22 and work data-driven to achieve knowledge goals.
• Have good digital competence (we work in Google Workspace and SchoolSoft).
