About Ängby School

Ängby School is a grades F-6 school with approximately 350 students, located in the beautiful nature of Knivsta, right next to Upplandsleden. Our unique proximity to forest and nature provides fantastic opportunities for outdoor pedagogy and movement in everyday life, which we see as an important part of the students' learning and well-being.

Job Description

Do you want to become part of the Ängby School team? We are looking for a teacher for the intermediate grades with qualifications to teach mathematics, Science (NO), Swedish, and English, who wants to contribute to a school where learning, community, and development are at the center. Now we are looking for an engaged teacher who wants to take responsibility together with colleagues and school management.

Responsibilities

The duties of the teacher position for grades 4–6 include:

• Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in mathematics, Science (NO), and English according to the current curriculum.
• Adapt teaching based on students' different needs and prerequisites.
• Assess, document, and follow up on students' knowledge development.
• Conduct formative and summative assessment and set grades in accordance with regulatory documents.
• Be responsible for development talks and written documentation related to students' learning.
• Be a mentor for a group of students and support their academic, social, and personal development.
• Maintain regular contact and collaboration with guardians.
• Collaborate with colleagues, student health services, and school management to promote students' learning and well-being.
• Participate actively in the working group's and the school's joint development work.
• Contribute to a safe and study-friendly school environment.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Are a certified teacher with qualifications to teach in grades 4–6.
• Have qualifications in Science (NO), mathematics, and English.
• Have good knowledge of the curriculum, assessment, and documentation.
• Have the ability to create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
• Are structured, responsible, and solution-oriented.
• Have an inclusive approach and clear leadership in the classroom.
• See collaboration as a natural part of the assignment.

Employment Terms

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
