This position is for you if you are structured and orderly, with experience working within the Swedish Armed Forces' Infrastructure Process. Do you want to become a key player handling all infrastructure matters related to the acquisition, maintenance, and decommissioning of infrastructure? We are starting from the ground up with the takeover and new construction of infrastructure for extensive warehousing of supplies in Northern Sweden.
Supply Unit North (Försörjningsenhet Norr)
FörsE Norr is a newly established unit within the Swedish Armed Forces Logistics (FMLOG), responsible for logistics to military bases and units within Military Region North. The unit is in a build-up phase, responsible for establishing a staff in Boden as well as warehouse operations at several locations in Northern Sweden. The operations are characterized by growth, gradually increasing deliveries, and the need to develop functional structures, collaboration, and working methods over time. The staff is planned to consist of both military and civilian personnel with broad competence. The staff supports the Commander of FörsE Norr by creating decision-making support materials, ensuring that decisions are put into practical action, and by planning, coordinating, and following up on operations.
Main Responsibilities
You work both operationally and strategically together with the unit's commanders to meet the unit's and allies' short-term and long-term infrastructure needs. You have planning and coordination responsibility for the unit's infrastructure development and maintenance. You coordinate other infrastructure case handlers, and together you create the prerequisites needed to meet the unit's needs.
You develop and maintain the unit's infrastructure plans. You coordinate and follow up on the creation of supporting documents and ensure that our infrastructure plans are implemented. You lead the work of creating the internal structure we need to manage the infrastructure. You collaborate within your own unit but also conduct dialogues with other actors in the infrastructure field.
The position includes, among other things:
- Local planning and environment
- Ordering of maintenance
- Follow-up/coordination of any projects.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- University and/or college degree focused on project management or construction, or equivalent competence assessed by the employer as relevant and equivalent
- At least five years of work experience within the Swedish Armed Forces' infrastructure operations
- Category B driver's license – manual transmission.
Personal Attributes
You are both results-oriented and relationship-building. You are resilient and have the ability to drive multiple processes towards long-term goals. You are coaching and have good communication skills.
To succeed in the position, you need to be secure in your role and have the ability to act even when all prerequisites are not yet fully defined and in place. You have a structured working method, good prioritization skills, and can translate overarching assignments into practical implementation. You are responsible, have high personal integrity, and build trust through clarity, presence, and consistent action according to our values.
You thrive in an environment where adaptation and development are part of everyday life. Collaboration and a holistic perspective are natural parts of your way of working – for you, the needs of the operation and the team are always paramount over the individual. You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
