The Child and Education Department covers preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, after-school centers, upper secondary school, and adult education. Currently, just over 200 employees work in our department.

We lay the foundation for lifelong learning by offering secure care and stimulating learning environments. We work actively with guiding interaction and base our work on the conditions and personal abilities of the children and students.

We work for high goal achievement and to ensure that every student gets the best possible conditions for a secure and successful school career. We offer our children and young people a meaningful leisure time through our after-school activities.

Lekebergsskolan 7–9 is a lower secondary school with approximately 330 students located in Fjugesta. Here, students and employees meet in a secure and inclusive environment where knowledge, respect, and good relationships are at the center.

Resource Pedagogue for Lekebergsskolan 7–9

Do you want to make a difference for students every day? We are now looking for an engaged and secure resource pedagogue who wants to help create conditions for all students to succeed in school.

As a resource pedagogue at Lekebergsskolan 7–9, you work closely with a small number of students who need extra support to manage their school day. Through relationship-building work, clarity, and structure, you help the students develop both academically and socially. You become an important adult in the students' daily lives and work in close collaboration with teachers, student health services, and guardians.

Responsibilities

In the role of resource pedagogue, you will:

  • Provide individual support to students during the school day based on their needs.
  • Support students in teaching so they can absorb the school's content and reach their goals.
  • Contribute to structure, security, and study peace during lessons, breaks, and transitions between different activities.
  • Help students plan, organize, and carry out their schoolwork.
  • Work relationally and motivationally to strengthen the students' self-esteem and independence.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education teachers, student health services, and guardians regarding the students' development and needs.
  • Participate in the work of creating an inclusive and accessible learning environment for all students.

The role involves working closely with a few students where the goal is to create conditions for a functioning school career and positive development both socially and academically.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a secure, responsible, and engaged person with a genuine interest in working with young people.

We place great importance on personal suitability and are looking for someone who:

  • Has a good ability to build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
  • Is calm, clear, and flexible in your approach to work.
  • Has a positive attitude and sees possibilities in every student's development.
  • Has good collaboration skills while also being able to work independently.
  • Is structured and can adapt your support based on the student's individual needs.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Relevant education in pedagogy, child and youth, social work, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
  • Experience working in schools or other activities for children and young people.
  • Experience working with students in need of special support.
  • Knowledge of neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPD) and adaptations in the learning environment.

Employment Type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3–6 months.
