Western Visby preschools consist of the following units: Asken, Humlan, Linden, Kabyssen, Heden, and Törnekvior. All preschools are located centrally in Visby. The area is led by a management team consisting of a principal, two deputy principals, and a special needs educator.

We are now looking for a preschool assistant for a learning, varied, and enjoyable job where you will work with us to support children's development, care, and learning.

The position is initially linked to the Kabyssen preschool, but as a preschool assistant with us, you should also be able to work at other preschools in the area.

Within Western Visby preschools, we strive for high-quality operations through, for example, a high proportion of educated educators, collegial learning, and a reflective working approach.

Your responsibilities

As a preschool assistant, you are part of a pedagogical work team consisting of preschool teachers and preschool assistants. In your role as a preschool assistant, you complement the preschool teacher in planning, implementing, developing, and following up on teaching based on the needs of the children's group, the preschool curriculum, and the administration's quality work.

As part of the preschool's work team, you help design the preschool's pedagogical environments and are involved in developmental conversations, parent meetings, and collaboration between home and preschool. Together, we create a high-quality preschool that children and parents can look back on as a positive and developmental time in the family's life.

The role may include supervising students from the preschool assistant program who are doing internships in our operations. It also includes supporting children in need of assistance in the pedagogical activities, in collaboration with preschool teachers.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a driven, professionally trained preschool assistant. You understand and master Swedish in speech and writing. You also need to have digital competence, both for your own work and for working with the children. We would appreciate it if you had experience working as a preschool assistant in a preschool setting. You must also hold a driver's license for a car.

As a person, you should have excellent cooperation skills and be accommodating in your approach to children, guardians, and colleagues. You are sensitive, curious, and development-oriented. You take initiative, collaborate easily, and build good relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues. You should keep the children in focus and have confidence in their abilities and competence. You can be led by preschool teachers in your work.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
