About the Department

Are you a nursing assistant and curious about Transplantation? We are looking for nursing assistants who wish to work day/evening shifts.

At the Transplantation Centre, we provide highly specialized care. We are the only ward in Scandinavia that transplants all internal organs, which we are very proud of. At the Transplantation Centre, we perform transplants as well as surgical procedures on patients with tumors in the liver or bile ducts. Our operations consist of both planned and acute care, which places high demands on good collaboration throughout the care chain within the unit.

As a nursing assistant at the Transplantation Centre, you have the opportunity to follow the patient throughout their entire journey. You meet them preoperatively, preparing them for surgery when they are nervous but hopeful, and then seeing them postoperatively to support their recovery, tackle any setbacks, introduce them to life as a transplant recipient, and eventually prepare them for discharge. Often, you will see them again when they return for annual check-ups.

What can we offer you?

Here, you will develop and learn a great deal. As a nursing assistant on the ward, you work with both advanced surgical and medical care, as well as planned and acutely ill patients.

We offer an introduction package with both theoretical and practical training.

We believe in a good start, which means a individually tailored introduction period of four weeks, depending on previous experience.

We offer competence development in the form of department-wide lectures and reflection sessions based on current topics. Conferences held internally at the clinic, as well as those organized together with other transplant units in Sweden, are opportunities all employees can participate in. We have an accessible leadership presence, and when you need support in your daily work, there is always a section manager or a colleague nearby to help you.

Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant on our ward, you provide care for patients undergoing transplantation, as well as patients with tumors in the liver or bile ducts who require surgical intervention. You work together with several professional roles to provide the patient with good and professional care.

We have clear leadership, where our section managers are responsible for daily management.

About You

We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant. Experience in hospital care and/or emergency care is considered an advantage. As a person, you have good collaboration skills, adapt easily to new tasks, and have a desire to learn.

Personal suitability is given great weight.
