Your Mission

Are you the IT Manager at Utbildia? This role is defined by being a driving, proactive force for our future digitalization. Your mission is to establish a new IT strategy that puts the student at the center and increases the pedagogical value of our large-scale 1:1 initiative for student laptops. You are responsible for the administration and cost control of our integrated system landscape (including Google for Education, Schoolsoft, Personio, and Fortnox), you lead the collaboration with suppliers such as Advania and Bahnhof, and ensure information security and GDPR compliance. The role involves an even distribution between strategic development work based on requests from the management group and operational hands-on involvement at our schools. You will mentor, coordinate, and provide direction to the two support roles handling daily first-line support on-site at our schools. During your initial period, you will focus on mapping the IT environment, initiating the automation of time-consuming administrative processes, and establishing a responsible plan for how we can utilize AI in our operations.

Your Profile

We are looking for a holistic thinker who understands that IT in a school must always serve the pedagogical mission. You have a relevant higher education degree (e.g., in IT or Systems Science) or equivalent experience, along with at least 3–5 years of experience in IT management within a medium-sized organization. You possess solid experience with Google Workspace/Google for Education, system administration with integrated systems, and supplier management. As a person, you are communicative, receptive, and have a distinct pedagogical inclination that allows you to explain complex technology in an understandable and engaging way to non-technical colleagues. You are self-reliant, structured, and confident in prioritizing among many parallel needs. It is highly meritorious if you have an understanding of school daily life, knowledge of AI tools in educational environments, and previous experience driving digitalization projects or automating administrative flows.

You will primarily work from our Headquarters in Mölndal, and business travel is part of the role. We are a dog-friendly workplace and have several four-legged colleagues in the team!
