Here, ovens are developed and manufactured for professional bakeries worldwide. The products are known for their energy efficiency, performance, and long lifespan. As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for the part of production where some of the company's largest development initiatives are currently taking shape. Over the coming years, there will be the implementation of OPS, development of kit-based workflows, increased automation, and several investments that will influence how the factory operates moving forward.

About the Role

You will be responsible for our client's CNC department, where a modern and automated sheet metal processing line forms the hub of production. The department consists of experienced operators and programmers working in a modern and largely automated sheet metal production environment.

The role combines responsibility for daily production with long-term development of production flows, automation, and working methods. A key part of your role is to drive the transition towards a more takt-based production flow where materials are produced and delivered just in time to assembly. Over the coming years, you will be a central figure in the implementation of a new OPS system, the development of kit-based workflows, and continued automation initiatives.

The investments currently being made mean that this role will have a significant impact on how production develops over the coming years. You will work closely with production, planning, purchasing, engineering, and external suppliers. At the same time, you have personnel responsibility for the department's operators and are responsible for ensuring the business operates safely, efficiently, and with high quality.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the daily operations of the CNC department
  • Have personnel responsibility for operators, including development discussions and salary reviews
  • Drive the implementation of the OPS system and the development towards kit-based production
  • Develop working methods regarding kit assembly and just-in-time production
  • Responsible for the department's production planning and resource utilization
  • Coordinate work between production, planning, purchasing, and engineering
  • Handle deviations, complaints, and root cause analyses
  • Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance within the area of responsibility
  • Drive improvement work within safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Contribute to upcoming automation and investment projects, such as robotic welding

We are looking for you who

  • Have several years of experience leading production in manufacturing industry
  • Are motivated by developing processes, flows, and working methods together with others.
  • You do not need to be a specialist in CNC programming or sheet metal processing, but you have sufficient technical understanding to make decisions, drive development, and hold constructive dialogues with operators, technicians, and suppliers
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English

It is meritorious if you have worked in sheet metal processing, CNC-controlled production, or the engineering industry. We also view positively if you have experience and/or education in project management.

You are a person who gladly takes responsibility for making things work in practice. You are structured and clear, but also curious about developing working methods and processes over time. Since the role involves many contact points, you need to be able to build trust with both operators, colleagues, and external parties.

We also believe that you appreciate environments where decisions can be turned into reality relatively quickly and where you have the opportunity to influence both technology, working methods, and future investments.
