About the role and your responsibilities

Primary school teachers work on planning and conducting teaching in accordance with the current curriculum. The primary school teacher works pedagogically based on the organization's goals as well as municipal and national steering documents. The primary school teacher is well acquainted with the current curriculum. The assignment includes, together with the work team, teaching students to promote their development and learning. As a primary school teacher at Backaskolan, you are responsible for:

• Actively working on designing and developing teaching in accordance with the current curriculum and evaluating the different moments that students are to work with.
• Create a safe environment at school aimed at strengthening students in their knowledge development as well as social development.
• Develop pedagogical content that challenges and stimulates students' interest and curiosity.
• Design teaching based on students' prerequisites and needs.
• Ensure that all students have a real influence on working methods and the content of the education, and enable a democratic working method where students participate actively.

We are looking for you

We are looking for you who are a certified primary school teacher for the intended subjects and grades. It is an advantage if you have previous experience of teaching. You have good insight and knowledge of the school's steering documents and can apply these in a pedagogical way in your daily work.

You have a holistic view of the operations and always work based on the best interests of the students. You have good relational skills and build safe relationships. As a person, you are creative, solution-focused, and responsible. You are driven by the desire to develop the school and teaching and want to be able to contribute to keeping it at the forefront. Your ability to collaborate is very good and you have an easy time building relationships with both students and colleagues and guardians. You are interested in working thematically and enjoy working in work teams but are also expected to be able to work independently.

As the school uses digital tools, we would appreciate it if you have good IT skills.

About the workplace

Backaskolan is a grades F-3 school with approximately 290 students located on Norra Fäladen in Lund. The school has a fantastic outdoor environment at the foot of Sankt Hans backar, and during our operations, we use the outdoor environment with our eco-bases. The school also has a world-class school library. We work together in grade-based work teams, and together all educators ensure the best interests of the students. We appreciate working together and are good at taking advantage of each other's competencies.
