Sundby School is a comprehensive school (grades F-9) located in a residential area between Bromma and Solvalla. The school is growing continuously and offers many interesting opportunities to contribute to its development. Today, the school has approximately 850 students, and we are about 100 staff members, including three assistant principals and one principal. We are now looking for a new teacher to join us with responsibility for the subjects English and Swedish as a Second Language. Teaching in additional subjects may also become relevant.

Your role

You will teach English (Year 6) and Swedish as a Second Language (Years 4–6) for a lower secondary school division with two to three parallel classes. In your teaching, you are responsible for planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation within your subjects. It is important that you work to create good relationships with students and meet them based on their prerequisites.

The role includes mentorship for one of the classes together with a colleague. You are part of a work team that teaches in different subject combinations. In the work team, communication and collegial learning are prioritized, where you together are responsible for and develop the work with student groups. You report to the assistant principal.

Your competence and experience

You have:

• Teacher certification for Years 4–6 with eligibility for English and Swedish as a Second Language. Eligibility in additional subjects is desirable.
• Documented work experience in teaching English and Swedish as a Second Language.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience as a class mentor.
• Experience teaching at the lower secondary level.
• Proficiency in digital technology, both for yourself and in teaching.
