Description
We are looking to strengthen our team with one additional employee for the Diabetes Clinic at Skaraborg Hospital in Skövde. Are you the one we are looking for?
The Diabetes Clinic is located in Lidköping and Skövde and is part of the Medical Clinic, which also includes the Endocrinology Clinic, Diagnostic Centre, and Anticoagulation Clinic. In addition to these specialties, we investigate and treat patients with general internal medical conditions. The Medical Clinic consists of both doctor-led and nurse-led clinics where we work in teams. Here, nurses with specialist competence in the aforementioned areas work.
We are looking for you who have further education in diabetes. You who plan to train as a diabetes nurse are also welcome to apply for the position. You will independently follow up on patients who need varying support. We are involved in the SkaS Diabetes Process, and everyone in the team contributes by educating and supervising both colleagues and patients. The majority of our patients have Type 1 diabetes, and we also have responsibility for pregnant women with diabetes. We are a large clinic striving to achieve high results in diabetes care. Diabetes care is well-developed in the technical field, and we strive to be at the forefront.
The position is integrated with a suitable ward within the area of operation, with weekend duty every fourth weekend. During the summer, you will be placed in inpatient care for a period. This integration provides the opportunity for engagement and involvement in developing the collaboration between outpatient and inpatient care.
What can we offer you?
The Medical Clinic works from a person-centered approach with common tasks and goals. We are proud of our unit with high competence and great job satisfaction! As an employee at the Medical Clinic, you are part of our team consisting of nurses, assistant nurses, and doctors. The job involves being involved in developing the operations at both the local and overall level. Our ambition is to find new ways of working and create a work environment where one feels safe and valued.
Together, we create inspiration to meet the healthcare environment of the future. It should be fun to go to work, and we believe in the employees' ability to create that workplace. We work to create a safe, flexible, and developing work environment through ongoing process work, integrated care and treatment, as well as individual areas of responsibility that offer opportunities for development.
About the position
The duties include, among other things, patient visits, telephone advice, and digital visits. You will also have educational responsibility for diabetes for employees within SkaS. There are good opportunities for personal development. Perhaps you have some specialized competence that is valuable to us? As a nurse with us, you are offered variety in your daily work and over time.
If you are solution-focused and open to new ways of working, and have experience from working both within internal medicine specialties and other organizations, it is an advantage. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and the ability to perform tasks both independently and in collaboration with your colleagues. We see that you are positive towards changes and want to be involved in developing the operations. Are you interested and do you want to become one of us? Apply today and tell us what you can contribute.
