Job Description

Are you an engaging technical leader who wants to help shape the industry of the future?

Do you want to drive exciting projects in northern Sweden and combine business acumen with a people-focused approach? Then AFRY has the role for you. Our current Section Manager is moving on to new challenges, and we are therefore looking for a replacement.

About the Role

As a Section Manager (Service Area Manager), you have overall responsibility for the section – personnel, business, marketing, growth, and profitability. Your task is to build a long-term sustainable operation with high competence and delivery capability.

You lead with a coaching approach and create a work environment where employees thrive and develop. At the same time, you drive business, nurture existing customer relationships, and open doors to new opportunities.

What We Do

The section primarily works with design and construction within Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation, as well as industrial AKB (Automatic Control), in both small and large industrial projects. Our customers are within the industry in the north (e.g., Pulp & Paper, Mining & Steel, Energy, Manufacturing).

You will become part of AFRY's office in Luleå with approximately 160 competent colleagues and will be part of the management group for Project and Engineering North, covering the operational area from Hudiksvall to Kiruna.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has further technical education within Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation.
  • Has experience in leadership and personnel responsibility.
  • Is accustomed to business and customer relations.
  • Has held roles with budget and profit & loss responsibility.
  • Has a strong network in the region and sees collaboration as the key to success.

You are business-driven, communicative, and coaching in your leadership style – with the ability to create opportunities and see change as something positive.
