Our Operations
Region Uppsala has embarked on a comprehensive journey to develop the region's logistical capabilities. As part of this work, the region has established a central logistics unit tasked with ensuring robust and efficient material supply to healthcare through centralized management. Region Uppsala is currently in an expansion phase where we are implementing a new business system and launching a central warehouse operated in-house. The central warehouse will serve as the hub for the region's material supply to healthcare and will be a key part of the region's investment in increased supply readiness.
Your Role
We are looking for a driven and structured Master Data Specialist who wants to help build the region's logistical capabilities. This is a new role that will play a crucial part in developing the region's future logistical capabilities and system support.
As a Master Data Specialist, you are responsible for establishing, developing, and maintaining structures, working methods, and processes related to master data within our business system. You will have a central role in ensuring high data quality, consistent working methods, and efficient information flows between operations, logistics, and system administration.
The role has a strategic and tactical focus, where you drive the development of the master data area in collaboration with operations and other functions within the organization. Some operational handling of master data is included in the role, but parts of the ongoing handling will be performed by logistics coordinators. It is a communicative role with many contact points, both within the region's operations and with external parties.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Establish and develop processes, routines, and working methods for master data management.
- Ensure high quality and structure in master data and that data is handled according to internal and external requirements.
- Participate in the development and implementation of system support and working methods related to master data.
- Work with master data governance and contribute to the long-term development of the master data area.
- Create, maintain, and analyze master data in the system, as well as review and correct any incorrect data.
- Collaborate with operations, system administration, and other functions to create efficient and uniform processes.
- Identify areas for improvement and drive development initiatives related to data quality, information management, data collection, and follow-up.
- Support the organization with analyses and reporting based on master data. As the area is under construction, you will be involved in shaping the role, working methods, and the future development of master data management.
Your Qualifications
- Relevant post-secondary education in logistics, IT, systems science, economics, or another relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 4 years of experience working with master data, data quality, or information management in large organizations.
- Experience in developing or improving processes and working methods.
- Experience with business systems such as MS Dynamics 365, SAP, or similar.
- Experience with logistics or supply chain processes.
- Good understanding of business systems and how master data affects operational processes and information flows.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in structuring and quality-assuring large amounts of data.
- Good knowledge of Excel and preferably experience with analysis and reporting tools.
Your Competencies
To succeed in this role, we believe you are:
- Structured and quality-conscious with a good ability to create order and clarity in complex information flows.
- Analytical and solution-oriented with the ability to identify areas for improvement and drive development forward.
- Communicative and pedagogical, with the ability to collaborate and create understanding between operations, logistics, and system administration.
- Independent and proactive, with the ability to take responsibility and drive issues forward.
- Development-oriented and thrive in a role where working methods, processes, and structures are under construction.
- Relationship-building and collaboration-oriented with the ability to handle many contact points.
What We Offer
We offer a developmental role where you get the opportunity to help build and shape the region's future master data management within the logistics area.
Interviews will be conducted continuously during the application period.
