About me:

I am an 18-year-old guy living with my mom and younger brother in Gävle. I have personal assistance around the clock, which allows me to live an independent life with my family, friends, hobbies, and day activities.

During the day, I work at a day activity center, and in my free time, I enjoy taking walks, swimming, hanging out with friends, participating in activities, and relaxing in front of the TV. I am an active person who appreciates both social gatherings and quieter moments at home.

As my assistant, you are an important part of my daily life and make it possible for me to live my life on my own terms.

About the position:

We are currently looking for an employee for a 50% substitute position. The position includes both day work and awake night shifts. It is an advantage if you can step in extra during sickness and holidays.

The substitute period runs until August, with good opportunities for extension for the right person.

We are looking for someone who is responsible, flexible, and enjoys working independently during night hours. You are confident in your role and find it easy to collaborate when needed.

Administrative requirements:

To be employed, you must present a valid ID, a certificate of personal registration, any documents proving the right to work in Sweden, and a police record extract. This can be ordered at www.polisen.se (https://www.polisen.se). Choose the extract titled Work with children with disabilities.

Job responsibilities:

• Personal care and support with intimate personal needs.
• Communication in speech and writing.
• Household chores such as cleaning and grocery shopping.
• Accompanying to activities and leisure interests.

Staffing responsibility:

The position also includes an extended responsibility as a staffing coordinator, according to a rotating schedule among assistants. This means that you will, if necessary, receive calls from colleagues during sickness and be responsible for solving the staffing issue. If no one else can step in, you may need to cover the shift yourself. This assignment is compensated.

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing.
• Good physical fitness.
• Swimming skills and willingness to swim and accompany to swimming.
• Non-smoker during working hours.
• Do not use perfume or strongly scented products during work shifts.
• Meticulous and has a good eye for detail.
• Calm, secure, and patient.
• Ability to work with respect for self-determination – you assist me in my life.
• Enjoy being around children.
