Job Description

AFRY is one of the leading players within civil engineering in the Nordics. Thanks to our unique breadth, we are proud to deliver tomorrow's infrastructure solutions together with our colleagues from other engineering disciplines.

We are now looking for an engaged leader for our civil engineering section in Kiruna/Gällivare. Within the section, we primarily work with earthworks and road design, as well as construction and project management. We also have expertise in cultural heritage and surveying technology.

As a Service Area Manager here, you will have a role with great variety, opportunities for many contacts and customer meetings, and responsibility for achieving successful and sustainable business outcomes. You are responsible for the entire section's operations, including strategies, profitability, marketing, quality, personnel, and competence development. You will combine your leadership role with working as a consultant for a portion of your time, preferably as a project manager, project leader, or perhaps a technical specialist.

The section currently consists of 12 employees. You report to the Regional Manager and sit on the regional management team. Region North consists of nearly 300 employees and stretches geographically from Gävle in the south to Kiruna in the north.

The location of employment can be Kiruna or Gällivare.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are passionate about team development, satisfied customers, and have a great interest in the section's services!

For this role, we see that you have many years of experience from the industry and are excellent at doing business. We prefer that you have work experience as a consultant, but if you have worked on the contractor or client side, that is also interesting. Fundamentally, you have relevant further education and a strong interest in engineering and civil construction.

You have preferably previously demonstrated good leadership skills and can naturally engage and motivate others. You have good social competence and enjoy being challenged both technically and in terms of business and leadership. You are relationship-building, and it is a great advantage if you have an established network in the industry. Naturally, you enjoy collaborating and thrive on sharing your knowledge with both customers and colleagues. Furthermore, you are driven by working in international teams. For this role, we therefore see that you are fluent in both Swedish and English and are comfortable expressing yourself both verbally and in writing.
