Härnösand Energi & Miljö, HEMAB, is an integral part of Härnösand. We deliver heat, water, electricity, and handle recycling. We produce green electricity through our wind turbines and our combined heat and power plant, which is fueled by biofuels. We also play an active role in the local community, contributing to initiatives such as schools and integration.

We are now looking for an engaged and experienced operations technician for our district heating operations!

At HEMAB, we are undergoing exciting changes as we develop our working methods, technical solutions, and collaboration – and we want you to be part of this journey! Are you curious, responsible, and thrive in an environment where you can think independently, take initiative, and contribute to improvements? Then this might be the right challenge for you.

About the job

As an Operations Technician at the Combined Heat and Power Plant, you will play a central role in the operation of our facility. You will work in shifts from September to May, with summer leave during day shifts. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Operation, monitoring, and optimization of our facilities
  • Troubleshooting and fault resolution
  • Preventive and ongoing maintenance
  • Field work on the district heating network and external rounds

The work is varied and involves significant personal responsibility, but you are never alone – we have a strong team spirit where we help each other move forward. Together, we drive not only our operations but also our development.

You will become part of a workplace with close collaboration, high engagement, and a shared drive forward. Here, you will find both security and opportunities for development – in your role, in the team, and in the company as a whole. We are strengthening our future – do you want to be part of it?

About you

We are looking for someone with a few years of experience from a production environment or similar technical operations. You have a good understanding of control and regulation technology and are accustomed to working with process monitoring and technical systems.

You may have worked as an operations technician, process technician, or process operator – the most important thing is that you enjoy working close to the technology and are used to taking responsibility in a mission-critical role.

We value that you are solution-oriented, confident in making decisions, comfortable with change, and driven to contribute to improvements. Furthermore, it is important that you collaborate well and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.

Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as a valid B driver's license, are required.

Application and questions

The position is a permanent full-time role. Start date is by agreement. A pre-employment health examination, including a drug test, is mandatory in the recruitment process. We apply the BÖK Energy collective agreement.

Selection is made on an ongoing basis.

If you have questions about the position, please contact Patrik Gotthold, District Heating Operations Manager, via email: [email protected]
