Company Description
AFRY offers services within engineering, design, digitalization, and consulting. We are dedicated experts within industry, energy, and infrastructure, creating value for future generations. AFRY has a global reach with deep roots in the Nordic region. Together, we accelerate the transition to a more sustainable society.
Job Description
Do you want to help shape a sustainable society for the future? Then AFRY is the workplace for you!
Here, you become part of an engaged team working broadly with societal development. We are driven by creating attractive, inclusive, and sustainable cities and communities. Our clients include municipalities, regions, and government agencies, as well as private actors.
As a Project Manager, you are a central figure in our projects. You are responsible for budget, schedule, quality, and delivery according to plan – from planning to implementation. The role also involves leading and supporting other consultants, ensuring that our deliverables meet customer requirements and technical standards. Assignments vary from smaller local projects to larger, long-term, and complex assignments spanning several years.
In your role, you collaborate closely with the client, other technical disciplines, and various stakeholders to create integrated and sustainable solutions that meet the project's needs.
You will be based at one of our offices in Piteå or Luleå.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a high school, university, or civil engineering degree in civil engineering, or equivalent relevant work experience. You have at least three years of experience as a project manager or lead, have worked in multidisciplinary projects, and wish to take a more senior role in leading complex projects while acting as a mentor to others.
You have good knowledge of economics and business acumen, and experience in managing budgets and resources with strong financial insight. We also expect you to have good knowledge of the laws, standards, and technical guidelines governing the industry, and that you can ensure our projects comply with current regulations and maintain high technical quality.
To succeed in the role, you need good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as you will collaborate with both national and international actors.
Since we continuously work with international partners, experience in leading employees in other countries is meritorious.
Work experience as an entrepreneur or with our clients is meritorious.
In summary, we are looking for an engaged, structured, and technically skilled leader who wants to help ensure that our projects not only meet today's requirements but also contribute to shaping sustainable societies for the future.
Additional Information
As a consultant with us, you will never be alone in your assignment. Here, you step into an organization where strong teamwork, open knowledge-sharing spaces, and a broad professional network are the norm.
You will have access to experienced colleagues, specialist competence, mentorship, and several internal networks that help you grow – both in your role and in your projects. Whether you need a sounding board, technical expertise, methodological support, or simply someone to discuss ideas with, the support structures are already in place.
We believe that a consultant's strength comes from the combination of personal drive and a secure base to lean on. Therefore, we offer:
- Support from an engaged team that follows you through all phases of the assignment
- Several competence networks where you meet colleagues with similar focus areas
- A culture that encourages collaboration, learning, and generosity
- Access to both local and national networks, so you can always find the right competence close to you
With us, you are part of something bigger – a context where your ideas are valued, where you get to develop, and where we together create the best possible delivery for our customers.
