The Property Department within Region Örebro County is looking for a technician for a fixed-term position in property maintenance in Karlskoga.
The property maintenance team consists of just over 10 people; a unit manager, a property maintenance engineer, and technicians in areas such as electricity, telecommunications, control systems, HVAC, construction, and more. The area covers Karlskoga Hospital, the Day Center in Karlskoga, Pilgården Health Center in Degerfors, and Laxå Health Center.
Job Responsibilities
As a technician with us, you will, together with your colleagues in the operations team, ensure the operation and development of the properties and provide good service to our tenants. You are the face of the property owner and are responsible for ensuring that tenants feel satisfied and secure in our premises.
Examples of tasks included in the position:
- Perform internal inspections, maintenance, and corrective maintenance
- Handle orders and fault reports from our tenants within healthcare
- Work in our maintenance system via computer and mobile phone
- Plan and carry out maintenance and repair measures within your own area of responsibility
- Have insight into the facilities and be able to handle the operational situations that arise
- Maintain ongoing contact with property managers and tenants
- Check compliance with laws and authority requirements within your own area of responsibility
- Participate in projects, improvement work, and energy measures affecting your own area of responsibility
- Be involved in media monitoring and operational optimization
- Work with automation such as ventilation control, heating control, etc.
- Handle facilities for medical gases
The position includes on-call duty.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have relevant education as an operations technician or experience that we assess as equivalent. You are welcome to have experience with different types of facilities and also good system knowledge in one of the following areas; electricity, ventilation, heating, water, cooling, locks and alarms, control and monitoring.

Previous experience working with property maintenance is meritorious.
You handle Swedish fluently and have good computer skills.
A driver's license, class B at minimum, is a requirement.
Employment Type
Fixed-term position, up to six months.

About the Operations
The Property Department is responsible for the management, operation, and construction of Region Örebro County's properties. Our main task is to care for our properties and ensure that the premises are functional and appropriate. We do this through business and technical adaptation or by creating new premises or buildings. Our tenants are mostly healthcare operations, which means a high level of technical complexity and demands on connections, functionality, and flows. The Property Maintenance Department works and is based from several locations in the county.
