At the Environmental Unit, we are responsible for supervision, permitting, as well as information and advice in the areas of environment, food, serving licenses, tobacco, and health protection. In addition, we are actively engaged in environmental issues within municipal planning. Our team, consisting of approximately 12 people, works together to offer a high level of service to the citizens and businesses of Laholm Municipality. Job Responsibilities

Do you want a job where you make a real difference for people and the environment? We are looking for you who are going to study to become an environmental inspector this autumn and want to work in a varied role where you contribute to a sustainable future. As a student employee at Miljösamverkan Östra Skaraborg, you will have the opportunity to practice your academic knowledge with assignments within our operations in parallel with your studies. We offer you relevant and qualified work experience, a mentor, valuable contacts, and a salary. The working time corresponds to approximately 8–15 hours per week.

We are looking for a student employee, with a focus on environmental and health protection inspector, who is interested in participating in and contributing to supervisory work with a focus on environmental protection and health protection. You will get tasks that give you experience of administrative authority work and the opportunity to try field work. This could involve work with contaminated areas, small sewage systems, agricultural inventories, waste management, and health protection supervision. You will participate in supervision according to the Environmental Code with the aim of creating a sustainable society for current and future generations.

• Employment according to the provisions in the agreement for student employees.
• The working time is limited to a maximum of 15 hours on average per week and during the term time. How the time is arranged is agreed upon at the time of employment. We are keen that you should be able to combine the work with us with your studies.

Qualifications

Who are you?

• You are studying to become an environmental and health protection inspector throughout the period (Autumn 2026), e.g., the course in environmental and health protection at the University of Gothenburg or other universities or colleges.
• You have an interest in environmental and health protection issues.
• You are a team player who finds it easy to collaborate.
• You are stable and confident in yourself.
• You are structured, proactive, results-oriented, and development-oriented with a good holistic view.
• Since the role requires many contacts, we place great value on your communication skills and good treatment is a given.
