Are you looking for a summer job and available between June 1 and August 31? Then you have the chance to work as a lifeguard at the Leisure Administration!

Job Responsibilities

As a lifeguard, you will provide service to our visitors, staff the reception, monitor safety, and ensure that the swimming facilities are clean and in good condition. Leading various activities such as water aerobics and sauna evenings may also be part of your duties. We offer you a varied and stimulating job where you will be involved in a department and workplace that focuses on positive issues such as health promotion and meaningful leisure.

The positions are for Hylliebadet and Simhallsbadet or one of our outdoor pools; Rosengårdsbadet or Lindängsbadet.

The positions include inconvenient working hours such as evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

To be considered for the positions, you need to be 18 years old. You must be a competent swimmer, and you will therefore need to undergo a swimming test if you proceed in the recruitment process. It is advantageous if you have experience working in a swimming environment, have training in CPR, lifeguard or swimming instructor training, or other training in health promotion. We also view positively if you have worked in a service occupation and have experience working with children and youth. If you have experience leading activity-related tasks such as water aerobics, sauna sessions, and swimming lessons, we also consider this advantageous. Likewise, if you have experience in cleaning services.

One of your most important tasks with us is to ensure that all guests enjoy their time and receive the help they need. Therefore, it is important that you are attentive, communicative, and passionate about providing good service. You must have a good ability to express yourself in spoken and written Swedish, and additional language skills are advantageous.

Swimming and Recreation Unit

At the Leisure Administration's swimming and recreation unit, five pools are operated - Hylliebadet, Rosengårdsbadet, Simhallsbadet, Oxievångsbadet, and Öresunds Funkis. The ambition is for the pools to together offer the more than 400,000 Malmö residents who visit us annually a variety of activities and events. The hallmark of the employees working at the pools is the will and drive to create, develop, and realize an operation where the Malmö resident is in focus.
