Job Advertisement: Emergency Preparedness Work

Do you have education and experience in emergency preparedness work? Now you have the chance to work broadly with emergency preparedness issues at the highest civilian total defense authority in Stockholm County!

What does the role involve?

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with various tasks that fall within the unit's areas of responsibility.

This may include supporting colleagues in planning and organizing training and networking events, as well as contributing to the development of various types of plans, assisting municipalities in their work with civil defense and crisis preparedness, or handling cases related to protected objects. Another important task is monitoring developments in the field.

Are you the one we are looking for?

For this role, we want you to have:

• relevant education in civil defense and crisis preparedness, or other education that we deem relevant,
• excellent ability to communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish.

As a person, you are responsible and have a pragmatic and unpretentious approach to your work. You have good administrative skills, and to thrive in this role, it is important that you enjoy having varied tasks. You are a team player who is good at creating and maintaining good relationships with colleagues and other societal actors.

As an employee at the County Administrative Board, you need to:

• be able to make decisions with consideration of multiple perspectives from a holistic view,
• understand that a central role for the County Administrative Board is to weigh different interests,
• have the ability to prioritize and adapt to work with new tasks or in new contexts.

It is meritorious if you have:

• experience working at a county administrative board, either through internship or employment,
• experience working at a government agency or municipality,
• experience planning and conducting training,
• experience in case management.

The employment is a temporary position until February 2027. We would like you to start as soon as possible.

The position is located in the unit for community protection and preparedness, where experts in areas such as civil defense and crisis preparedness, communication, handling of protected objects, and nuclear preparedness are included. In the unit, we collaborate and support each other within our respective areas. The unit manager leads with warmth and commitment and exercises a trust-based leadership over the unit's 15 employees.

You must be a Swedish citizen as the tasks within the employment are classified. We will conduct a security assessment according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
