Do you have a genuine interest in children's learning and development? Are you looking for a meaningful job with opportunities for growth? We create conditions for children's desire to learn and the possibility to succeed.

Welcome to shape the future with us - lifelong learning begins in preschool!

Do you want to work with teaching based on children's influence? Do you enjoy learning in a collegial context? Do you have a strong interest in working with different learning environments?

Virvelvinden Preschool is a preschool with great commitment where we are constantly seeking ways for development. The preschool is divided into five departments with younger and older children and also includes a 24-hour open department. We are the only 24-hour open preschool in Borås City, which means we also have staff who cover the operation during evenings, weekends, and nights. The current position is not intended for our 24-hour operation, but during the day, the children are included in the regular preschool activities at Virvelvinden Preschool.

Our view of children is based on the competent and thinking child. With us, there is an accepting approach where children's own thoughts, ideas, and actions are given ample space. We take children's questions seriously and see learning as something we create together - the educators are co-discoverers who, in dialogue with the children, explore, reflect, and seek answers to questions that arise in everyday life. Previously, we participated in the project "100 languages, 100 environments". It was during this work that our way of working with learning environments took shape and developed. The experiences from the project continue to live on in our daily life and shape how we today consciously design, use, and change the learning environments as an active part of teaching.

At Virvelvinden Preschool, we work to ensure that preschool is safe, enjoyable, and educational. It is a place where each child is met according to their needs and conditions and where children have an influence over the content of the activities. We who work at the preschool see it as a starting point where we build a foundation for civic education.
