Welcome to the Resource Team, which is now looking for new colleagues!

The Resource Team is a unit within the Psychiatry North West clinic and is based at Danderyd Hospital. The team consists of nursing assistants whose primary task is to perform external extra shifts in somatic departments at Danderyd Hospital AB and the New Karolinska Hospital in Solna. In addition to this assignment, we also assist in the inpatient care departments at Danderyd Hospital.

The Resource Team offers you a varied job with a focus on staffing extra shifts within somatic care. The assignment is exciting, where one day is not like the other. Here, you plan your workday together with your colleagues, and you get to take significant personal responsibility with good opportunities for development in your professional role as you meet many different patients with varying issues. The role of a nursing assistant in the Resource Team means that you are the clinic's face towards somatics, and you get to collaborate with various professions within different specialties of healthcare. As part of the Resource Team, you will also be part of the section's alarm force and will develop your ability to act in acute situations. The Resource Team is coordinated by a coordinator, which is a role you will be introduced to once you are familiar with the overall assignment. The coordinator's role involves being responsible for communication with psychiatrists and somatic doctors, coordinating the staffing of Resource Team colleagues, and assisting in inpatient care departments during acute needs.

The Resource Team is facing new challenges where we will together develop new routines, increase patient safety, and improve the work environment. We are looking for someone who enjoys development and improvement work.

Job Responsibilities

  • Independently responsible for monitoring patients with external extra shifts in somatics and performing psychiatric nursing measures.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing with colleagues in both psychiatry and somatics and collaborate with various professions.
  • Perform delegated nursing measures in collaboration with ward staff within the psychiatric inpatient care departments.
  • Document in the Take Care journal system and various administrative tasks.
  • Coordinate and manage resources and staffing within the Resource Team.
  • Contribute to the development of teamwork around external extra shifts with an emphasis on psychiatric nursing and safety, as well as contribute with initiative and ideas for the continued development of the Resource Team.
  • Participate in developing internal collaboration within the inpatient care section and collaboration with our care neighbors at Danderyd Hospital AB and the New Karolinska Hospital Solna.

Qualifications

Proof of protected professional title for nursing assistants or employer certificate confirming that you had a permanent position as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023, in accordance with the transitional provisions (2021:739) in the Patient Safety Act (2010:659). Preferably with extensive experience in acute psychiatry. A broad experience in caring for patients with various psychiatric diagnoses and symptoms is an advantage. We also prefer that you have good knowledge of the Psychiatric Coercion Act and experience in caring for patients under this legislation.

Employment Form

Intermittent employment. Start date by agreement. The position involves work: days, evenings, and weekends. (no nights)

  • Background checks are applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
  • Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employment examination, according to applicable directives, which is done through occupational health care before employment.
  • In addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
