As one of the chief budget coordinators at the Secretariat for Economic Governance and Management Support, you have a central role in operationally coordinating, leading, and developing the ministry's work with the budget process and agency governance.

You will be part of a team that brings together the ministry's preparation of the budget bill, supplementary budgets, regulatory letters, agency dialogues, and other cross-departmental processes. Together with your colleagues, you will support the budget coordinators and agency administrators with quality assurance, holistic perspectives, and developing the conditions for well-functioning processes.

The role involves many contacts with other colleagues in the ministry, political leadership, corresponding functions in other ministries, and the budget department of the Ministry of Finance, among others.

Your Background

We are looking for someone with a relevant academic degree and experience in agency governance and budget coordination in the public administration. You have experience in leading and coordinating work processes. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of the Swedish administrative model, the state budget process, financial governance, results management, and the economic administrative regulations within the public administration. You express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

Relevant experience in agency governance and budget coordination in the Government Offices is an advantage. Knowledge of and experience working in the state budget system Hermes is also advantageous.

Other

We are looking for an employee for a fixed-term employment of 12 months. The position will start as soon as possible.

The position is classified in a security class, and a security review with a background check will be conducted before a hiring decision is made. Swedish citizenship is a requirement for employment in the Ministry of Defence.
