Job Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who wants to work in a team for a few weeks this summer, where you, together with your colleagues, plan and implement summer activities for and with children and young people in Nordost.

The activities range from shorter workshops to more themed longer days using LEGO as a material.

The activities you plan should be characterized by being a meeting place and a social context. With a conscious approach, you enable children and young people, based on their abilities and circumstances, to discover and explore LEGO as a tool for creation, construction, to spark imagination, and to discover new worlds. There are endless possibilities for creativity!

Schedule

The work is scheduled between week 25 and 28; from June 15 to July 10.

You need to be available for one day in May for an introduction.

In week 25, you will plan, together with your team, the activities for the upcoming weeks.

In weeks 26–28, you will carry out the summer activities.

A requirement for this position is that you must be able to work all these weeks.

Qualifications

Formal Qualifications

You have both experience and a strong interest in building with LEGO. You also have knowledge of LEGO communities.

You have experience in creating workshops for different ages and with various content. You have the ability to create meeting places and social contexts.

It is an advantage if you have a post-secondary education, for example in pedagogy, engineering, or architecture.

Personal Qualifications

The LEGO workshop is an open activity where you meet different children and young people from day to day during the weeks. You have the ability to create safe and positive relationships. This requires sensitivity and awareness of the relationship, that you can communicate and understand children and young people. You support and inspire them by having a positive and motivating attitude. You have a low-arousal approach and can mediate if any conflicts arise, while also being able to set boundaries and be clear.

You are open and curious and have an artistic drive, but above all - you enjoy meeting children and young people and conveying cultural joy!
