About the role and your tasks

Being a supervisor at Support in Adult Housing means:

• you work together with a colleague during the night, and your task is to create safety during the night so that clients can sleep well.
• Your ability to remain calm and clear-headed in challenging situations is of great importance for the position.
• together with other employees, you work to create participation and a meaningful everyday life for the individual.
• the tasks during the night also include performing decided interventions for each client, documentation according to applicable legal requirements, supervision, cleaning work, and self-checks.
• the work involves scheduled night shifts with a 5-2 schedule. This means awake shifts with work every other weekend and that you work 5 days one week (Monday and Tuesday as well as Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and the next week Wednesday and Thursday).
• being clear and setting boundaries with an empathetic approach.

We are looking for you who

Are passionate about social work and especially for people with comorbidity, but who have also lived in homelessness for a long time. You should have some form of post-secondary education, have worked with the target group, and have experience working awake nights.

Meritorious is training in MI, Solution Focused, experience in harmful use and dependency or NPF diagnoses.

To succeed in the job, you need to be good at building relationships, be low-arousal, and have the ability to make quick decisions. You need to be able to take your own initiatives and easily adapt to changing circumstances. Good problem-solving ability and the capacity to lead yourself and others are also qualities that the employer sees as important. The work also requires a good empathetic ability.

At Support in Adult Housing, the municipality will start a housing program for people with comorbidity (dependency issues, mental health problems, and often criminality as a basis). The apartments are temporary where clients can stay for a maximum of 18 months, as the idea is that the social counselors who work during the day and evening will help clients to more permanent housing that is also more long-term.

We are a workgroup with a strong solution focus, flexibility, and we all are passionate about the target group and their vulnerability but also their rights.
