About Us

The Operations Department at Blekingesjukhuset (BLS) in Karlshamn consists of five operating rooms where we perform elective surgeries during the day; Monday to Friday.

We serve operating clinics at BLS primarily in orthopedics, surgery, gynecology, urology, plastic surgery, and dentistry. Annually, approximately 3000 surgeries are performed at BLS Karlshamn.

The department consists of about 60 employees, where the team in the operating room includes operating room nurses, nursing assistants, operating physicians, and anesthetic staff. In addition, staff from the postoperative department, including registered nurses and nursing assistants, are also part of the team. Good communication and collaboration permeate our operations, and these are qualities we highly value in our future colleague.

About the Job

We are now looking for someone who wants to help develop and drive our operations forward. As an operating room nurse, you will work in a team and perform standard tasks within surgical nursing. The work is varied between the specific specialties and types of surgeries performed. As our new colleague, you will be welcomed by a wonderful team characterized by commitment, responsiveness, and care. You will receive individualized orientation tailored to your previous experiences.

About You

We are looking for a licensed nurse with specialized training in surgical nursing. As a person, you are secure, flexible, and meticulous. You have a desire to develop and learn new things. You enjoy working in a team and contribute to a good working environment, collaboration, and atmosphere. We will place great importance on personal suitability.
