Family Therapist for Counseling and Support

About the Position

As a family therapist at the social services Counseling and Support, you will meet children, adolescents, families, and adults facing difficulties and challenges in their lives. You need to have the ability to adapt methods and approaches to the individual you are meeting.

The Counseling and Support team consists of a total of nine employees, of which six are family therapists, two are social pedagogues at the family center, and one is a coordinator for early interventions.

In connection with the new Social Services Act coming into effect, the social services have gradually begun to shift from a work previously mainly based on assistance decisions to more open interventions and a promoting and preventive approach. The coordinator for early interventions is a hub in the cross-departmental work to initiate promoting, preventive, and early interventions.

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting as soon as possible or by agreement.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in Social Work or other education and experience that the employer assesses to be equivalent.

It is an advantage if you have experience in psychosocial change work within municipal social services, group activities according to methods such as Relapse Prevention, CRAFT, ACT, ABC, ABC-Teen, and other evidence-based methods such as FFT.

The job places high demands on you being secure in yourself, able to take initiative, find solutions, and work independently. At the same time, you have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner. As a person, you are empathetic and can quickly understand someone else's perspective or situation. You are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Since a large part of your tasks involves communication and documentation, good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing is required. Knowledge of other languages than Swedish is an advantage.

A B driver's license is a requirement.
