Job Advertisement: Nurse/District Nurse for Home Healthcare

We are looking for you who are a nurse or district nurse and want to work extra with us in home healthcare on an as-needed basis.

Our team consists of 3 district nurses, 4 nurses, 6 nursing assistants, a team leader, and a home healthcare doctor.

Together, we take care of our 220 home healthcare patients. We value a flexible and close collaboration between our professions to best assist our patients. You work in a team but often work independently in the field.

Ekerö Health Center is one of Stockholm's largest health centers with 20,000 registered patients. We are a large fully staffed workplace with nearly 60 employees. In addition to home healthcare, we have various clinics such as diabetes, asthma/COPD, hypertension, travel vaccinations, and a psychosocial team with psychologists and a rehab coordinator. We are located in Ekerö Centrum, easily accessible by bus from Brommaplan, ferry, or bus from Slagsta, Boat 89 from the city.

Job Responsibilities

The home healthcare team is divided into 3 areas, and each area consists of 2 nursing assistants and 2 nurses/district nurses. Our patients live in Lovö-Drottningholm, Ekerö, Munsö, and Adelsö. We walk, bike, and drive to our patients. Together with nursing assistants, planned or acute healthcare interventions are carried out in our patients' homes. This may include medication management, wound care, sampling, catheter care, and medical assessments. There may sometimes be a need for contact with relatives, hospitals, or social workers. As a substitute, you may have the opportunity to work in all areas.

Qualifications

Nurse or district nurse with a few years of work experience, preferably from home healthcare and/or geriatrics. A valid driver's license is required. We document in Take Care, and experience with it is an advantage.

You are good at creating structure and have a natural talent for planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work effectively. You are positive, helpful, and can work independently while also being collaborative.
