Our Operations

Obstetrics is a section within the field of women's health care. The section includes the delivery ward, maternity ward, and obstetric specialist clinics. Approximately 4,000 women give birth with us each year, and we provide active maternity care both in the hospital and at home.

In obstetrics, we work as a team with the goal of creating the greatest value for the patient. This means many shared workflows and strong collaboration within the section for the benefit of the patient.

Your Mission

We work in teams consisting of nursing assistants, midwives, and doctors. In the Delivery Ward, we focus on the patient and her partner during childbirth and the immediate time afterward. We are also responsible for emergency visits during late pregnancy during on-call hours.

Being a nursing assistant at Akademiska sjukhuset is an exciting job where you meet people in many different situations. You will also become part of a skilled team that supports and helps each other while you will work independently.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant with healthcare experience, preferably in emergency care, who wants to deepen their knowledge in obstetric care and neonatal care. You need to have good computer skills and experience with the Cosmic journal system. Experience in delivery care is prioritized.

Your Competence

We see that you as a person always put the patient in focus and are responsible and motivated in your work. It is important to us that you enjoy working with people in a sometimes fast-paced environment. Furthermore, you should be an engaged and positive colleague who contributes to a good working environment. You should have a strong sense of service and order. If you combine this with curiosity and attention to detail, you may be the right fit for us.

We Offer
