We are now looking for Measurement and Waste Technicians for Barsebäck Nuclear Power Plant!

Job Responsibilities The work in measurement technology and material handling means that you will be working in one of Europe's largest decommissioning projects, managing the dismantling of Barsebäck 1 and 2. The position as Measurement and Waste Technician involves conducting radiological measurements on building structures as well as some packing/sorting of radiological waste. Other tasks include measurements to determine waste flows and operating forklifts and lifts. Documentation of waste is done using industry-specific software.

Education and Experience We prefer candidates with a background in nuclear power, and if you have a lift and forklift license, it will be considered an advantage. A B driver's license is required. You need to have basic computer skills as some documentation is done in an IT environment. It is also important that you have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing.

We are looking for someone who is positive and responsive to the needs of the business and the customer and enjoys working in a team. You are service-oriented and meticulous in your work.

We value your personal qualities, so if you feel you are the right person, we welcome you to submit an application.

The Position The position begins with a radiation protection training around week 6 - 2026. Upon successful completion of the training, a fixed-term employment of 6 months will initially apply, after which the employment may transition to permanent. Since the work is performed at a nuclear facility, a security interview, background check, medical examination, and drug test will be conducted.

We offer specific training for the relevant tasks as needed: Forklift, crane, lift, radiation protection course category C and B with a final exam. The radiation protection course includes basic radiation biology, physics, system knowledge, and instruments. In addition, mandatory access training will be conducted digitally.

Application The deadline for applications is December 22. However, selection will take place continuously, so please submit your application as soon as possible.
