At Sjöstadsskolan's adapted primary school, we currently have 6 classes from preschool up to grade 9, with students across various subjects and subject areas.

The premises are spacious, bright, and well adapted to the activities, and the staff density is high. The entire school, including the primary school, makes significant investments in accessible learning environments and a good working environment; we strongly advocate for participation and equity, and we rarely say no to new ideas.

  • 100% teaching in classes with subject area students in grades 7–9.
  • You have daily close collaboration with student assistants, leisure coordinators, deputy principal, and team leaders. As a special teacher and mentor, you create a safe and inspiring learning environment with high expectations of students' ability to develop. You are a clear leader both in the classroom and in collegial contexts, have good collaboration skills, and build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You plan, teach, evaluate, and document.

Your skills and experience

To be considered for the position, we prefer that you have:

  • Teaching license
  • Special teacher degree with a focus on intellectual disabilities
  • Good ability to express yourself in writing and experience in writing educational assessments and documentation
  • Experience teaching students with intellectual disabilities
  • An inclusive approach and good collaboration skills
  • Good knowledge of and experience working with students with autism, language disorders, ADHD, and other functional variations.
  • Digital competence
