Secondary School Teacher for Lidingö's Resource School
Now there is an opportunity to be part of the establishment of Lidingö's resource school! Lillåkers school has been operational since August 2025 and is Lidingö's thirteenth municipal primary school. The inauguration will take place on January 9, 2026.
In the autumn staff survey, the school's first, we had high results regarding well-being, leadership, engagement, and the educators' own learning. The school scored above the municipality's high average, indicating good well-being and significant engagement and participation in the establishment and development of a new school.
Lidingö municipality has 13 municipal primary schools, focusing on knowledge and enjoyable learning, which is reflected in our good academic results. We offer a school that is part of the digital society and place great importance on preparing students for the future. School leaders and teachers in Lidingö exchange experiences, learn from each other, and develop together.
RESPONSIBILITIES
We are now looking for a qualified secondary school teacher who wants to be part of and build within an innovative and inspiring team. You recognize the importance of individualized teaching and accessible learning environments that promote all students' education in the best way and are driven to develop sustainable working methods together with colleagues, teachers, and the principal. You develop teaching together with colleagues where you share experiences and, with a formative approach, support and challenge so that the teaching evolves.
We are looking for someone who wants to help start a program for students who need extra support to succeed socially and academically in becoming active future citizens. In your role as a teacher, you will work as a subject teacher responsible for mentor students together with colleagues. Your work involves:
- Working preventively and operationally to support students in need of adjustments and special support.
- Teaching and developing the teaching together with colleagues and establishing accessible and inclusive learning environments.
- Conducting assessments, observations, and pedagogical tests to improve students' learning together with the overall responsible special teacher for the age group.
- Guiding support pedagogical staff in your classroom and implementing adjustments at the individual and group level.
- Actively participating in the school's work with student health-promoting initiatives and creating good relationships with students and guardians.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is self-driven, motivated, and responsible. For the position, it is required that you have:
- Teaching certification with qualifications for grades 7-9 in math/science/technology. Mathematics, technology, and biology are desirable, but several combinations with math and science may be of interest.
- The ability to work with various teaching methods and create inclusive learning environments.
- Experience in mentoring and collaborating with other educational staff.
- Excellent collaboration skills. Collaboration occurs with students, guardians, teachers, and other professionals.
- Experience and confidence in documenting support measures.
We consider it an advantage if you have:
- Special education degree.
- Experience working in a resource school or with special support.
- Good knowledge of autism and other special support needs.

The municipality applies individual salary setting. Interviews will begin during the advertising period. Start date as soon as possible, desired start date January 7, 2026.
