Project Manager within ISS - Surface Vessels

Your Role

As a Project Manager within Project Execution & Maintenance for surface vessels, you will play a central role in the work of developing and maintaining the Navy's vessels. You are responsible for planning, structuring, executing, and following up on assigned projects - with a focus on enhancing both safety and functionality on board.

In this role, you will lead projects related to preventive and corrective maintenance as well as the implementation of technical modifications. You will work closely with both technical specialists and operational personnel to ensure that the work is carried out efficiently, safely, and with high operational reliability as a goal.

This is a role for you who enjoys combining strategic responsibility with practical implementation and who is motivated to contribute to a safe and modern maritime defense.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate project meetings to ensure communication regarding information, progress, priorities, and resources
  • Develop and monitor activity and time plans for projects
  • Prepare and compile production calculations
  • Follow up and report costs, quality, purchases, and timelines for projects
  • Work independently on smaller projects and collaborate with colleagues on larger projects
  • Maintain and develop both internal and external customer relationships to promote long-term collaborations

The position is based in Muskö with the possibility of travel both within Sweden and internationally.

Your Profile

Requirements

  • Relevant university or college education, or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
  • Valid driver's license (Category B)

Desirable Qualifications

  • Leadership training, basic economic and commercial education, project management and administration training, IPMA certification or equivalent
  • Knowledge of marine vessels
  • Good administrative skills
  • Experience with the Armed Forces or the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV)

The position requires that you undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in certain cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
