Forsmark Nuclear Power Plant is one of the largest electricity producers in Sweden, generating one-sixth of the electricity consumed in the country. Nuclear power has very low fossil footprints and is a stable and weather-independent energy source. Since 1980, our three production facilities have delivered climate-smart electricity every day, all year round.

Today, around 1,200 employees work at Forsmark, and we are part of the Vattenfall Group, which operates in a European labor market with fantastic development opportunities for you as an employee. Our workplace is beautifully located along the scenic Roslagen coast.

Do you want to contribute to Sweden's fossil-free electricity supply?

Now you have the opportunity to do so with us at Forsmark Kraftgrupp. To achieve our goals, we need engaged employees who want to work for one of Sweden's largest electricity producers while contributing to a better climate on our planet.

Are you interested in technology and want to be part of a close-knit team? We are now looking for a maintenance engineer who will focus on the calibration and repair of radiation protection instruments!

As part of Forsmark's maintenance department, you will be part of a team responsible for the calibration, service, and maintenance of measuring instruments and electronic products. The team consists of ten employees and a team leader, and together we have broad experience, strong collaboration, and a helpful culture.

As a maintenance engineer, you will work both in our workshops and out in the facilities with:

  • Calibration and maintenance of radiation protection instruments, fixed and mobile equipment
  • Troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analysis
  • Further development of calibration methods, working methods, and routines
  • Record maintenance, follow-up, and summons in systems such as MetTeam and SAP
  • Evaluation of completed maintenance actions and participation in projects.

On-call periods may occur, and in the long term, you may have the opportunity to work with the calibration and control of other instruments within our area of responsibility. We offer you an exciting role within the nuclear power industry where technology, safety, and precision are at the forefront. Come and work with us!

Requirements

We are looking for someone with a technical education in electrical engineering or electronics. You are practical and have a good ability to handle, maintain, and troubleshoot measuring equipment and electronics. Experience in problem-solving, both in daily work and in unforeseen situations, is a significant advantage.

You make things happen, take responsibility, and work in a structured and meticulous manner. Safety and quality are central parts of your working method.

The role involves a lot of collaboration and many contact points, primarily internally, but also with external suppliers. You are solution-oriented and enjoy teamwork. You speak and write good Swedish; knowledge of English is an advantage. A driver's license (B) is required.

Location: Forsmark
