Logistics Officer (HL) within FMLOG Staff
As a Logistics Officer (HL) within the FMLOG Staff, you will work with qualified tasks in logistics and directly contribute to strengthening Sweden's defense capability. You will be responsible for long-term planning and development at a higher tactical level and represent logistics in both national and international contexts.
About the Unit:
FMLOG is a military unit with operations throughout Sweden and a staff in Stockholm that supports the unit commander. The unit's task is to support all branches of the Armed Forces by leading operational and strategic transports, supply management, and other logistics at the rear level. The position is located in the Development and Direction Section of the Planning Department, which is responsible for leading and driving long-term planning and development work for the Unit Commander.
Main Responsibilities:
- Represent FMLOG in strategic, operational, and tactical logistics planning
- Participate in and lead long-term logistics planning and development work nationally and internationally
- Act as a subject matter expert in operational logistics, in close collaboration with corresponding functions at strategic and tactical levels
- Participate in and lead work related to VLS and the development of the logistics network
- Support other staff members with expertise and participate in general staff duties
Qualifications:
- Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
- Driver's license B
- Experience in logistics within the Armed Forces or another similar authority
Meritorious:
- Completed military service/GMU
- In-depth knowledge of the Armed Forces' logistics and organization
- Understanding of host nation support and logistics within NATO
- Ability to handle complex planning and investigation assignments
- Experience in logistics work at tactical, operational, or strategic levels
- Experience in investigations or studies related to logistics development
- Experience from international working groups in a NATO context
