Your Workplace

The Gripen Health Center is centrally located in Karlstad, just a stone's throw from the Klarälven River, Värmland's museum, and the beautiful museum park. With over 19,800 registered patients and nearly 60 employees, we are Värmland's largest health center. Thanks to our competence and willingness to do good work, Gripen is perceived as a pleasant and welcoming workplace.

In addition to the medical team, we have a well-functioning counseling reception with both curators and psychologists. We have a fully staffed nursing group consisting of district nurses, psychiatric nurses, and nurses with special competencies in areas such as asthma-COPD, dementia, and diabetes. Our operations also include foot care therapists, nursing assistants, and administrative staff who work both independently and in close collaboration with others in the team. Furthermore, we have an ongoing collaboration with Karlstad municipality, which means that assistance assessors are present at the health center.

About the Position

As an ST physician at Gripen, you will have a defined role and be part of a team alongside your supervisor and other professional groups. You will have allocated time for supervision and studies. The medical team works with joint referral assessments and holds both medical meetings and academic meetings every week. Additionally, you will participate in the medical assessment team (MBT) and team rounds. The remaining time is divided between outpatient work and on-call duties. Other assignments, such as responsibility for special accommodations and BMM, are distributed within the medical team.

We are looking for you who are a licensed physician and wish to start your ST in general medicine.

Additionally, you demonstrate good judgment by making wise priorities and trade-offs in both decisions and actions.
