About the assignment

We are looking for a senior railway project engineer for ongoing and upcoming investment and reinvestment projects within Stockholm County for the Swedish Transport Administration. The assignment involves work in a very complex railway environment with high demands on safety, coordination, and delivery within given time frames.

As a consultant, you will work as a resource reinforcement in the client's project organization, focusing on railway and road bridge projects. The projects may include track and switch replacements, overhead line measures, grade separations, and signal-related interventions.

About the role

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting project management in the daily work of planning, monitoring, and coordination. You will work closely with project managers, consultants, and contractors, contributing to ensuring structure, progress, and quality in the projects.

Your responsibilities include, among others:

• Manage and coordinate the project's ongoing administration and documentation
• Ensure order and quality in project and document management systems
• Plan, coordinate, and document meetings
• Follow up on the project's time, cost, and risk profiles and update governing plans
• Work with forecasts, financial monitoring, and invoicing
• Prepare reports and decision-making materials
• Coordinate schedules among the project's various stakeholders
• Participate in the review and follow-up of delivered documents
• Manage call-offs and participate in closures and procurements
• Support project managers as needed

Travel may occur in the role.

Mandatory requirements

All requirements must be clearly stated in the CV, including periods, assignments, scope, and responsibilities.

1. At least 180 ECTS credits from a college or university with a technical focus.
2. At least 5 years of documented experience working in a client project organization. The experience must have been acquired in the last 8 years.
3. At least 5 years of practical experience with the Swedish Transport Administration's project portal, IDA or Chaos. Or equivalent systems from another client.
4. At least 5 years of practical experience with CDI, C7, Agresso, and Exonaut.
5. Have been active as a project engineer in the execution of at least 1 project from design to completed facility.
6. Have been active as a project engineer in the preparation of at least 2 tender documents for procurement.
7. Hold a B driver's license.
8. Be able to express oneself well in Swedish in both speech and writing.
9. Have good knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and similar programs.

Assignment information

The assignment is to start no later than 2026-02-16 and will last for 2 years from the date the contract comes into effect.

Option: The client has the unilateral option to extend the contract with existing contractual terms for an additional 1+1 year.

Scope: Estimated workload for the assignment is 80-100% of annual working time, equivalent to 1,700 hours.

The location for the resource consultant is Solna. This assignment requires physical presence at the Swedish Transport Administration's office 3 days a week.
