Your Role

Our Advanced Composites section supports all product areas within the airborne, maritime, and land-based domains developed at Saab Surveillance. The section works broadly with composites - from manufacturing, repair, material qualification to computational methodology. Right now, there is a lot happening in the composite area with several exciting initiatives where manufacturing process issues will be central.

You will be part of our Material & Process team responsible for the introduction of new materials, development of material systems with associated processes, and participating in our technology development. Through your assignment, you will be a strong voice in the continued development of Saab's world-leading radar products.

Main Responsibilities:

Work with manufacturing processes and quality issues in collaboration with our suppliers, which may involve travel and some work being conducted at subcontractors.
Support product development in all phases from concept and system design to detailed design, verification, and delivery.
Work with testing campaigns.
Write material and process specifications.
Contribute to and drive technology development within the company.

Your Profile

This work is performed independently, but in a cohesive group. We believe you identify with qualities such as good communication skills, flexibility, and willingness to collaborate.

We are looking for someone who has:

Good knowledge of composite manufacturing. Experience from the aerospace industry is an advantage. We believe you have a degree in fiber composites and experience in composite manufacturing.
Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Practical experience in composite manufacturing and material testing as well as product development within the industry is an advantage.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification placement, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.
