Job Advertisement: Nursing Assistant at Stora Sköndal's Neurological Rehabilitation Clinic

Stora Sköndal's Neurological Rehabilitation Clinic has been in operation for over 40 years and consists of an inpatient ward, day rehabilitation, physiotherapy clinic, and speech therapy clinic.

Our inpatient ward has space for 28 patients aged 18 and older who are referred to us from the region's acute hospitals or through specialist clinics for planned rehabilitation. Our largest diagnosis group is stroke, followed by Parkinson's disease and postoperative brain tumor surgery, but we also encounter patients with many other neurological conditions/diseases.

Patients have scheduled training during the day together with our colleagues in paramedicine, but rehabilitation continues around the clock on the ward, both in activities of daily living (ADL) and during rest – where you as a nursing assistant play a central role.

During the night, your main task, in collaboration with the nurse, is to ensure good and safe care for our patients. You work methodically with transfers, sleep-promoting measures, and provide further information about the patient's needs during the night to the team - an important part of the patient's rehabilitation that also contributes to a safe and secure discharge.

• You are a trained nursing assistant with experience in acute neurology and/or neurological rehabilitation and have worked in healthcare for at least 2 years.
• Good ability to communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish is a prerequisite as the position involves continuous communication, both with patients and the team.
• The work requires experience in transfer techniques, knowledge of various aids for transfers, and knowledge of incontinence care. Some computer skills are required, and it is advantageous if you have previously documented in the Take Care journal system.
