As a nursing assistant, you play an important role in society.

In your work, you are the one who makes everyday life function and become meaningful, always from a salutogenic perspective. You meet each resident with respect and base your approach on their individual needs and conditions. By motivating and supporting, you help the residents maintain their independence.

Your tasks include everything from personal care, support during meals, encouragement and support in social activities, as well as collaboration with relatives. You work with colleagues and perform certain tasks delegated by licensed personnel. As a contact person, you plan, implement, document, and follow up on care work with the resident.

Altplatsens Care and Nursing Home is located in Västra Frölunda. We provide care and support for residents with dementia and somatic illnesses. The area is very walkable and close to the Ruddalen outdoor area and its exercise trails. It takes about ten minutes to walk to the Frölunda Torg shopping center.

Your working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. At Altplatsen, we work with optimized staffing, which means you will work certain shifts as planning shifts across all floors of the building.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant, can show a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare regarding protected professional title, or can demonstrate that you were employed as a nursing assistant at the introduction of the new regulations. Previous experience in care and support is required. You enjoy collaborating with others and have good communication skills.

You have good computer skills for documentation in IT systems and good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with others. Further education in care and support is an advantage.

In your role, you will meet many people, which requires you to work together with others to achieve common goals. You should be respectful, open in your meetings, and always have the residents' best interests in focus. The workday can sometimes be different from what was planned since you work with people, so you maintain calm, balance different demands, and reprioritize your tasks.
