About the Unit
The Individual and Family Services in Mönsterås Municipality consists of four units: Children and Youth Unit, Treatment Unit, Adult Unit, and Assistance Unit.
The Children and Youth Unit consists of eleven caseworkers who work with children and youth aged 0-21 years and their families, as well as two caseworkers who work with foster homes. The unit is divided into three teams: Reception Team, Investigation Team, and Placement Team.
About the Position
We are now looking for a temporary social worker to work as a caseworker for children and youth, as a colleague is on parental leave.
The recruitment process may begin during the application period.
The Children and Youth Unit has a unit manager who leads and distributes the work. The unit manager is also available for support and guidance in daily work.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The work within Individual and Family Services is important and varied. As a social worker in the Children and Youth Unit, you will primarily handle investigations regarding children and youth aged 0-21 years.
You will handle cases according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Special Provisions for the Care of Young People (LVU).
You are responsible, based on delegation, for ensuring lawful handling and decisions in individual cases and for following established routines.
We work according to BBIC and document in Lifecare. The goal is to conduct high-quality social work based on evidence, continuity, participation, and a holistic view.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a social worker or has another academic education validated to correspond to a social worker degree.
- Has a good ability to understand people's varying living conditions and respond to them with respect and sensitivity.
- Is an empathetic, secure person with personal maturity, good collaboration skills, and contributes to a good work climate.
- Is responsible and has the ability to work structured and independently.
- The work requires familiarity with the Social Services Act, LVU legislation, and authority exercise.
- Experience with BBIC and Lifecare is an advantage.
- Expresses oneself well in speech and writing.
- Has an ability to motivate people to change and works from a salutogenic approach.
- Finds it stimulating to work in a small municipality with close collaboration and decision-making.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Experience in authority exercise is an advantage. A driver's license is a requirement. We ask that you provide an extract from the National Police Board's criminal record before a potential employment.
