Personal assistance is an intervention according to LSS (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each client is unique, and your tasks will vary based on the client's needs. You respect the client's self-determination and privacy while contributing to a smooth daily life.

About the position

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to create good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take your own initiatives and see what needs to be done.

Our client is an active young man who spends much of his time outdoors. He enjoys cycling, swinging, and walking. The client has epilepsy and autism and requires constant supervision.

We are now looking for someone who meets the following criteria:

• wants to work with a young man in his 30s living in Oxie
• has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• has experience working in care/support
• has experience working with individuals with autism and epilepsy
• can tolerate pets as there are dogs in the home
• is smoke-free
• enjoys being outdoors
• can support and train the client in communication

It is also an advantage if you:

• share the client's interests - such as cooking

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, employment rate, and salary:

The current employment form is "As long as the assistance assignment lasts" and the position is approximately 16%. The job involves working during the day and evening on weekends. The working hours are on Saturday from 08:00 to 16:00 and Sunday from 14:00 to 21:00 - even weeks. There is a possibility for more hours during other assistants' absences.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensations are in accordance with collective agreements.

Start date

Immediately or according to agreement.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you can present valid ID and any documents that support your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.
