Education Gävle is responsible for preschool, primary school, secondary school, and adapted school. We work to ensure that all children and students are challenged and succeed in their education. We are now opening Skrindan's preschool with three departments for children aged 1 to 5 years. Skrindan's preschool is located in the Sätra preschool area at Sicksackvägen 11. The preschool's large yard offers ample space for play and movement, and we are close to a large meadow and a sledding hill. Skrindan's preschool is currently empty, so it will be a new opening in old premises. We are looking for 6 preschool teachers. We seek individuals who want to be involved from the start and have the opportunity to shape and build a new operation together with new colleagues.

Smultronstället is a large preschool that currently has 5 age-divided departments. At Smultronstället, we work a lot with language, focusing now on reading aloud and a language-developing approach. The forest is nearby, just outside the fence.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to be involved in children's learning and development? Do you enjoy seeing children grow and develop? Are you a qualified, pedagogical, and engaged preschool teacher who is used to taking significant responsibility? And building a new team? Great, then this position might be for you! Come and help shape the future for Gävle's children with us.

Together with your colleagues in the team, you will have the main responsibility for education at the preschool as a preschool teacher. Your work will include planning, implementation, documentation, follow-up, and evaluation of the operation according to established goals and guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a preschool teacher degree and preschool teacher certification with authorization to teach in preschool and preschool class. Or ongoing education in the preschool teacher program, with graduation in January 2026. You should also be well acquainted with the preschool curriculum, systematic quality work, and other governing documents used within preschool operations. Furthermore, good linguistic and communicative skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are required. Experience with various digital tools is important, as we place great emphasis on documentation.

It is an advantage for this position if you have knowledge and experience working with children in need of special support and experience with AAC and TACC.

As a preschool teacher at Skrindan's and Smultronstället preschools, you should have the ability to see what needs to be prioritized, be efficient, and use resources so that everyone in your team can succeed in their various roles. You take your own initiatives, are courageous, and have the ability to distinguish between issues and individuals, as well as being structured and planning your work well. You have the ability to lead and motivate children so that they feel comfortable and happy at preschool. You maintain a humble approach in your collaboration with colleagues, children, and guardians, making them feel included and a sense of belonging.
