Description

As a communicator, you will be part of the secretariat and communications unit at the municipal management administration. We communicators plan, coordinate, develop, and streamline communication efforts across the municipality. We are four communicators, one of whom is responsible for the website.

Our mission also includes close collaboration with Värnamo municipality's contact center and the destination unit to convey a shared image of Värnamo municipality. The purpose of the communicators' mission is to provide residents and employees with simple, clear, and quick information.

Residents should feel that they have knowledge about the municipality's activities in a way that fosters trust and encourages participation in its development.

Employees in Värnamo municipality should feel pride in their work, a sense of belonging to the entire organization, and be informed and involved in the operations.

It is important for us that employees, residents, and others perceive the municipality as transparent and accessible to all.

Responsibilities

You will work with all our channels, but your heart beats especially for social media and the web.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is passionate about communication in all its forms. We will place great emphasis on your personality, but your practical and/or theoretical experience is of course also important to complement our team.

You have a degree in journalism and media production or media and communication. We also see that you have experience working with communication across the municipality in local government.

You have experience working with programs such as SiteVision, InDesign, and Photoshop.

You have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. You have an eye for color and form in both digital and printed production.

You are attentive and good at collaborating but also used to working independently and taking your own initiatives within the framework of your assignment. You are solution-oriented, service-minded, and unpretentious.

It is also important that you share the municipality's values of focusing on people, development, respect, joy at work, and collaboration.

Conditions

The position is a parental leave substitute.

The municipal management administration. Together we work to support the municipal council in leading municipal operations. We deal with issues related to personnel, salaries, finance, security, infrastructure, procurement, business, campus, sustainable development, marketing, information, and communication.
