Mimers Hus Gymnasium was inaugurated in 2004 and is an attractive high school located in central Kungälv.

Currently, about 1600 students are enrolled in twelve national programs, both vocational and academic preparatory, as well as introductory programs (IM). The school offers a sports profile within all national programs and entrepreneurship programs in several.

About 180 staff members work at the school today.

IM consists of four orientations with different purposes and partially different content. They all share the common goal of preparing students for further studies or facilitating their establishment in the labor market. Our common goal and focus is that everyone should succeed.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a certified teacher in social studies for grades 7-9.

As a teacher with us at IM, you will have close collaboration with your colleagues in your work team and our student health team. The position also includes mentorship. Teaching in national programs may occur.

You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating your teaching as well as assessing your students' knowledge. Follow-ups and conversations with students, parents, and other key functions regarding our students are an important part of the job.

Qualifications

We are now looking for someone who:

• Has qualifications in social studies for grades 7-9. Additional subjects at the high school level are an advantage.
• Has a coaching approach and is good at creating good relationships with those you meet in your professional role.
• Sees modern technology as a natural choice in your role as an educator.
• Has the ability to see all students and take into account their individual circumstances and uses your knowledge to promote creative and inclusive learning environments.
• Enjoys making visible and reflecting on approaches and learning processes together with students and colleagues.

Documented experience working with neuropsychiatric disorders is an advantage.

Of course, you are a creative and positive colleague who enjoys planning and developing the operations together with other staff.
