About us

The health center in Mellerud has approximately 8,000 registered patients.

We are a well-functioning unit staffed with doctors, district nurses, specialist nurses, nurses, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries. We also have a strong mental health team consisting of psychologists and PTP psychologists. Under the same roof, we have a rehabilitation clinic and dental care with which we have a close collaboration. We also have a child health center located at the family center. The health center has made a fresh start regarding accessibility and medical quality within the general medical assignment.

You will always have access to guidance from an experienced specialist on-site. You are expected to actively contribute to our improvement work with great opportunities for personal development. In Mellerud and Dalsland, we work with rural medicine, a way of working, a way of being, a way of living, which consists of distance and closeness. Distance - to hospitals contributes to patients seeking your help instead of the hospital, which means you will handle significantly more different medical conditions and situations. Closeness - as we are right among our patients in the community and gain high trust where we arrange for the patient's best interests. All according to what is referred to as good and close care.

About the job

Your tasks at the health center span a wide field and encompass general medical competence with patients of all ages and situations. You will work independently and variably with outpatient work.

About you

You are a licensed physician with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare and have an interest in primary care. You possess language skills in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale.

We are looking for someone who is attentive and has a good approach since you will meet many different patients at the health center. You enjoy teamwork, and for you, it is a given to collaborate with colleagues and other partners in the work.
