Care Assistant at Väst-Teg Care and Support Home

Väst-Teg Care and Support Home is a newly built facility located in Väst-Teg.

The facility opened in the autumn of 2024 and consists of 4 floors. There are a total of 120 apartments distributed across 12 units, with each unit containing 10 apartments. Each unit has its own spacious balcony. On the ground floor, there is a café and a glazed outdoor patio.

Väst-Teg also has a production kitchen where meals are prepared and distributed to residents and schools throughout Umeå municipality.

We are now looking for more important care assistants to join our team – important because, through your commitment and competence, you make a significant difference in our residents' daily lives and contribute to safety, care, and quality of life.

Your Responsibilities

With a professional approach and a good attitude, you assist our residents in their daily lives. The residents' right to participate in decisions is a priority, and you contribute to ensuring that services are delivered with good quality, according to assistance decisions and implementation plans.

You will assist with personal hygiene, laundry, cleaning, meals, and other services. Your tasks will also include documenting actions and health status, as well as medical tasks based on delegation from the responsible nurse.

About You

We are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant and has previous experience working in elderly care. Experience in dementia care and delegations is an advantage.

Your interactions with residents require good competence based on personal suitability, maturity, and empathetic ability. You demonstrate a strong commitment to both users and the organization in all relationships and actions. You enjoy working independently and are patient and proactive. You have the ability to collaborate with colleagues, relatives, and other professionals. Personal suitability is of great importance!

To communicate with users, relatives, and colleagues, as well as to write and access documentation and receive medication delegation, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

Heavy lifting may occur in the workplace, and moving aids should always be used.

Other:

• Two permanent full-time positions starting as agreed. Working hours are scheduled for day/evening/weekend.
